Measuring up!

You need to answer ALL five questions.

1. Which is less: 14 cups or 5 pints? Explain.
2. Which is greater: 3.5 pints or 60 fluid ounces? Explain.
3. Which is less: 3 feet or 1 meter? Explain.
4. Which is greater: 15 mm or 3 cm? Explain.
5. Giant clams can weigh as much as one fourth of a ton. How many pounds can they weigh?

    1. 5x16=80 oz and 14 cups = 112oz so 5 pints is the smaller
    2. 3.5 pints = 56oz so 60 is greater
    3. 1 meter = 3.28feet 3 feet is smaller
    4. 3cm = 30mm so 3cm is larger
    5. 2000/4 = 500 lbs.
